Horizon

We went in August 2011. What a fantastic holiday we has! Site was very clean and all the staff we friendly and very helpful. We had been going to butlins for the past 3 yrs and fancied a change, we made the right choice! We are going back again this year with friends, stayed in a horizon caravan but this yr we are camping. Would recommend st ives bay holiday park to anyone, best holiday we have ever had!

Horizon

Just spent 2 weeks here in a horizon caravan and loved it!! The caravan was nice and clean and very spacious which was great for a family of four. Only downside to it was the cot rail that attached to the wall while it was very safe and secure it was a tad on the small side for a 2 year old who is a very active sleeper. The park itself is big but very quiet and very well kept. The beach is a couple minutes walk through sand dunes and its fantastic. Theres a lidl about a 2 min drive from the main gate - be warned through theres a double mini roundabout and if youve never come across one before it can be confusing. There are plenty of places to visit nearby sure as lands end, st ives and charlestown and parrenporth beach is well worth a visit ( its massive!). would gladly recommend st ives bay to anyone and really hope to visit again :-)

We stayed 1 week at St Ives Bay 31/07/10 to 07/08/10. Our first time here. We chose the right place. You cant go wrong with this place. We stayed in a Osprey caravan which was lovely and new for 2010.We were very close to the beach. We went to the beach everyday.Lovely clean beach with stunning views. We got lots of good photos. The food in the bistro is great. The prices were very fair and the menu was very good with a wide choice. We have stayed in many many caravan parks in Devon and Cornwall and i must say this one is one of the best. You dont have to go far for anything the shop, the bar, the bistro, pool & beach all close by.I would recommend St Ives Bay.We will come back again for sure.

Me my wife, my 5 year old and 20 month old stayed in Osprey 709 14th July for 1 week which is on the corner next to the surf school (our 4th time now). Great sea views and good location for the pool and beach. Because weather was good we went to the beach every day, even though we did travel to other places. i still think though the crazy golf is a waste of space. either update it or remove it to put something else there. Entertainment is ok but would hate to have gone 1 week later in school hols, i imagine the small kids room would be a nightmare. even so love this place, the layout, the staff and the overall relaxing feel to it.

Just back from our second idyllic break at St Ives Bay Holiday Park (11 May to 18 May 2013) - everything just as lovely as our first visit (June 2010). A4* chalet was our first accommodation in 2010 which was perfect - this time opted for the new Raven caravan with amazing sea views; again, just perfect. If you are looking for lovely surroundings, good facilities, pleasant accommodation and a good base for visiting some of the best destinations in Cornwall, St Ives Bay Holiday Park is the place to head for!

Just got back from a week in an A4* chalet and wish we had been able to stay longer. I used to go to St Ives Bay every year when I was a kid and not having been for nearly 14 years, I can honestly say that it was just as good as I remembered. My two year old loved everything from our chalet to the beach and swimming pool and especially her dancing in the kids club. Chalet was lovely and clean and staff could not have been more helpful. I am hopeful that this will become a new family tradition for us just like it used to be for me.

After a 400 mile drive I was pleased to arrive and was not dissapointed, we had a two berth chalet which was clean and the furniture was like new, had to drive to the beach as the site is so big but everything is well spaced out but it was worth it just for the view, I would imagine it would be a kids paradise, we have a touring caravan so was interested in the touring pitches which looked very good to me, the site was quiet in early May when we were there but I can imagine it when full, a town on it,s own, enjoyed every minute of the area, somewhere we had,nt been for a long time, especially all those chimeys, all in all a very enjoyable break.

Got back on Saturday 25 sept after staying in a sirocco caravan, didnt want to leave, caravan great but will get bigger one next year, only gripe was that we needed a hoover, a little rechargable one will do, much better than a broom. Staff brilliant, location brilliant, surroundings brilliant, cant wait to book for next year, really bored now we have come home. Although it was late season and most of the facilities were being run down for closure it was still a great week and cant wait to come back next summer when everything will be open longer. Great value and lovely area of Cornwall. Oh and apart from a small hoover an electri toaster would be a finishing touch.

My 17 year old grandson and I had a lovely week staying in an A4 chalet. Quite basic but clean and comfortable. Had the best nights sleep whilst there. My bed was so comfy. Shame the pool closes at 6pm as we would have liked to have gone swimming after our day trips. The bus to St Ives is just a short distance down the road from the holiday park. Reception and shop staff very helpful. Loads of leaflets with info on where to visit in reception. Lovely clean beach with lifeguards around. Sand dunes great for walks with views. My grandson enjoyed beefburgers from the mobile burger bar. Not a rowdy site at all - quite the opposite, very relaxing. We will certainly return in the future.

The whole site is kept spotlessly clean cant fault as are the shower block and all amenities . We had a fantastic week weather wise Both of our kids aged 8 and 3 couldnt get enough my 3 year old never stopped all week but you felt they were safe on the sanded play area outside the chalets and made friends too . It was our first time at St Ives Bay and I would definitely recommend the park. We had an A6 chalet it was spotlessly clean enough room for all of us and well equipped. The whole park is very clean, no rubbish anywhere. The facilities are excellent and the beech is fantastic, although a bit of a climb back but worth it. The staffs are excellent, friendly and polite. The only gripe I have is the Dynamite Club bar prices, they seem to change from round to round but after I complained the drink prices stabilised. I am going to book next year and take my whole family 10 adults 6 children that,s how good we all felt the holiday was.

We are a family of five and just spent a week at the holiday park. On first impression of the A6 chalet that we stayed in there was a musty smell and some of the amenities were not as clean as I would have liked, having said that the bedding was clean and although basic it served as a good base for our tour of Cornwall. The park itself was fantastic. Staff were friendly and helpful (security and reception). The beaches were the best I had ever seen. The Sands Bar and Dynamite Club were brilliant. I would also recommend the swimming pool - very clean. I would certainly return one day and perhaps try out the caravans or tent. I would also recommend hiring a car if wanting to travel 10/10.

St Ives Bay has everything you need for a perfect camping holiday. The beach is at your doorstep, and the resort amenities are only ever a short walk away, including the swimming pool, the conservatory and the clubhouse, enough to keep all ages entertained day and night. Though St Ives is a lovely town accessible by car and train which is definitely worth a visit. Me and my family have been coming here for years now and weve found that it cant be beaten!

The site at St Ives Bay is amazing and great value for money. We camped and the toilet and washing areas were very clean. The pitchs are good sized with lovely views all within easy walking distance to the shop or bars.

Just back from our first visit this year as we are back again in august for what will be r 8th visit. Camping with 30 friends on the best site we have ever visited was a complete success. Although a big site u never feel that it is too crowded. Food in conservatory excelent and reasonable price. Brilliant location on a fantastic beach with access to some lovely places in cornwall for day trips. Thankyou to staff who were very helpful when husband admitted to hospital . the six families i was with all loved the place and a return trip is alreadybeing planned. Keep up the good work this is a fantastic place.

Just returned from an excellent two week camping trip to St Ives Bay Holiday Park. An excellent place to camp, close to the beach, clean toilets and showers and friendly helpful staff. The indoor pool and games room is great for the occasional wet day and we enjoyed sitting out watching the sun set over St Ives. We will be returning to this campsite.

last done a review in 2011, been back twice last year. and this year again camping in may , june and july .be back again next year will be our 30th year coming to this holiday park cant wait, best site in cornwall we had grass cutters around our tent it had to be done in july.the smell of that grass was amazing the site and shower block was spotless as it is always ,only slight drawback is to make sure you use strong pegs as the ground can be a bit hard in places but that is the fun of camping, staff again was very helpfull see you next may again.

Been back in Scotland for a week now, having spent another two weeks at St Ives Bay again. Camped close to the beach and spent lots of time with the surf school, who are excellent especially with the kids. If this isnt the best value campsite in the Uk, Id like to know where is. Cant wait to get back, despite the 550 mile drive !

Well campers the summer season has come and gone, lets hope the winter goes just as fast so we can all get back to St Ives Bay, its the only thing that will get us through winter. Already looking forward to next year, blus skies and summer sun and of course the odd cider in the bar.

Stayed at St Ives Bay from 23/06-30/06 with my husband, 18month old son, mum, dad, aunty and uncle. We all stayed in our trailer tents. Although the weather was hit and miss the holiday itself was amazing. Great park and facilities, great for families. Loved exploring cornwall and definately thinking of coming back to St Ives Bay next year :-)

An average holiday. Felt the showers could be cleaner. Entertainment for teenagers was slacking at 16 I couldnt do either children or adult and was left with nothing. Could be improved. However my 4 year old cousin was well equipped and anyone looking for a camping holiday with young kids I recommend. Although the walk to the beach is a struggle and not good for pregnant women who struggled with the easy access. I wont be returning.

Sirocco

I cannot recommend this holiday park enough! Absolutely fantastic holiday last week. We stayed in a Sirocco caravan and it was lovely and clean. Plenty of cupboards (though remember to bring some hangers as we had some horrible rusty old wire ones!) We had a fantastic sea view and were seconds from the beach, pool and bar. Watching the sun set over the sea every night was amazing. We will definitely be re-booking for next year. Last year we went to Spain and spent a fortune, our hotel was rubbish. This holiday to Cornwall was 10 times better! We were very lucky with the weather but it was a relaxing and fab break in a wonderful setting. Wish I was still there. My two boys loved the playground in the sand. 10/10 from us! See you next year!

Raven

Stayed in Oct Half term, although you would not have known it, the site was very quiet. We stayed in Raven Accommodation which was alright nothing spectacular. Two bedrooms heating throughout although not needed. The road to the van 553. was in need of some TLC. Plenty of space between the vans. which is always nice to see. and the view across the open coast were great.

Raven

I stayed here in July and wow this place is an excellent park. I booked the Raven 821 with decking and sea views out to Godrevy Lighthouse. The raven was clean new and just what we hoped it would be. I have stayed at many sites in cornwall and this is the best. It has everything my family and I like from our summer Cornish holidays. So much so that I have booked for next summer. It really is a fantastic place.

A4*

A4* chalets are at the entrance of the park, so don't have sea views and it is easieer to drive to the top of the park to the beach, but if you have small children, there is less noise and they are more comfortable than a caravan.

The beds are hard and awful, would be nicer if the beds were made on arrival, and would be nice to have a toaster in the kitchen as the grill is pretty useless on the oven! This is after the 1st night!

Hired a A6 villa for a week starting 5th July 14 and had a excellent time, Villa was spacious and clean. Park was clean right on the beach, which was excellent and clean with life guards. The location of the park within Cornwall was second to none with great attractions only being a short drive away. The "bucket of blood" pub is within easy walking distance of the park and well worth a visit. Enjoyed it that much that have booked it again for October 14.

SUN-SUN ELEC HOOK UP

We stayed for a week in August in our tourer caravan. The site is very clean and well organised. Facilities cater well for all ages well with the busy and noisy entertainment facility with the usual holiday stuff, and the sands bar for both adult only and kids stuff. The park located at the bar bistro is lovely right through to late evening with our son making friends and enjoying the fresh air while we sat enjoying the stunning views sipping on a cold one. There was always parking at the beach car park if you didn't fancy the walk or were taking lots of stuff with you. Lifeguards on duty on the beach and full info available on tide. Has a surf lesson with very helpful staff who were so accepting of all shapes and sizes for wet suits and age and ability for surf lessons. If I could find a criticism at all it would be the smokers gathering at the door way in the evening. Other than that we will most definitely be returning next year.

We camped for one night to try out my new tent, this site is very reasonable compared to a lot of smaller places, there is so much to do here you don't need to go out at all if you stay for a weekend. My kids loved the entertainment, and the parks... breakfast was lovely at the Bistro and also not too expensive!! We will definitely be returning and recommending your site! The only down side was there was a massive ants nest on our pitch, so had to move tent forward leaving my cable bit too short, luckily it was a dry night, and we had a spare carrier to cover the sockets.

Stayed for a long weekend at the end of June 2014, absolutely amazing little gem of a holiday park. The A4 chalet was perfect for our family of two adults and two children age 11 & 14. Sunset from the conservatory is beautiful and the golden sandy beach is just perfect (although it is a steep climb back up!) Food in the conservatory is very good quality and value for money...all in all a lovely place to stay, and we have booked for our summer holiday next year!

Ideal site for beach and local shops. Lovely local beaches. Toilet blocks are in need of up dating, showers are not great but warm, no pegs for towels etc in wash rooms. Food in the bistro is very basic. Overall the site is in need of some very basic updating.

Best site we have ever been on. We had a raven van (788) and it had an amazing view, and was a lovely van. Just hoping that next year when we need a bigger van that we get just as good a view with a osprey van. My 2 year old loved it too!! We stayed w/c 19th July 2014 .
