Our holiday park is built on Upton Towans, and we provide beach access from the car park. The beach car park is for clients of St Ives Bay Holiday Park only. Steps to and from the beach can be reached from below The Sands complex.
The steps make life a lot easier on the way back up, from the beach. The Hayle to Gwithian beach is 3 miles long but has Lifeguards in place from Whit weekend to Early September. Please obey the lifeguards and the flags at all times. The beach is renowned by locals and holidaymakers for surfing, the surf generally gets bigger as you go towards the light house, further up beach.
Our holiday park is privately owned, and we do not allow access to non residents. There is public access to the beach, through a public footpath, that runs adjacent to the park. A few metres along the B3301, up from the park’s entrance. This access point takes you through the dune land onto the beach.
