Jubilee Pool is located on Penzance promenade. It is one of the oldest surviving art deco swimming paths in Britain. Built and opened in 1935, by Penzance engineer Captain F Latham, the pool was commemorated for King George V’s Silver Jubilee celebration year, and remains a salt water pool.
With Grade II listed status, the pool boasts a triangular plot with graceful and elegant curves. However the original features where mostly destroyed due to storm damage during February 2014. A massive fundraising project was undertaken, to restore many features, and bring life back to the pool. Finally in 2016, Jubilee Pool was reopened to the public. Growing support and a successful 2016 season, means that the Pool will be opening its gates ready for 2017.
