Portmellon Beach sits in a small, sheltered cove, little more than half a mile from the centre of Mevagissey, Cornwall. It is normally a very quiet beach, tourists preferring to visit its better-known neighbours, where access for boats is provided by a slipway.
Portmellon is set in a low lying area, and its sand and shingle beach is reclaimed by the sea at hide tides, though this does leave rock pools to explore at low tide. The beach can be accessed from Gorran Haven or Mevagissey via the South West Coast Path.
