St Just (St Just in Penwith) is the last small town in Cornwall. Known to locals as a centre of the old mining industry, the towns buildings are crafted from granite. There are galleries, shops and pubs mostly in the central square. Cape Cornwall is the peninsular to the west. The airport just to the south, which services the Isles of Scilly’s.
The town lies along the B3306 road which connects St Ives to the A30 trunk road through Cornwall. St Just lies within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), which means the area has the same status and protection as a National Park. St Just is one of only two towns included within the Cornwall AONB.
