The Top House Inn is special and unique. Our bar and restaurant areas are steeped in tradition whilst our en-suite bed and breakfast rooms, in an adjoining building, are contemporary in style and offer guests a touch of luxury.”
Open all year round, you can be assured of great hospitality from James and Donna Glosby and their team in this warm and friendly traditional Cornish village Inn.
Relax and enjoy delicious food produced using local produce in our bar, restaurant and alfresco dining areas accompanied by a nice bottle of wine from our extensive wine list. Our atmospheric bar buzzes with locals and visitors alike and the usual friendly banter, whilst dogs snooze at their owner’s feet or in front of our roaring log fire on a cold winter’s evening. St Austell Brewery real ales served to Cask Marque standards and a great selection of hot and cold drinks. Stunning scenic coastal walks nearby, seek out the Poldark filming locations!
Our menu is deliberately quite eclectic to ensure we offer a wide variety of choices so there is something for everyone. We offer a Children’s menu for the little ones and welcome families. On Sunday’s we offer a traditional Roast Lunch …. our large homemade Yorkshire puddings are popular as well as the homemade gravy.
The majority of dishes are homemade, including our handmade burgers and fishcakes, curries and pies to name a few and of course our desserts are homemade too! Portions are hearty, as they should be. Fresh local fish is a speciality and in abundance on our doorstep so regularly features on our specials board, particularly during the summer months. Wherever possible we will let you know the boat name and number! For local line caught fish we will tell you the fisherman’s name.
Dine in the bar or restaurant areas. If the weather is fine take advantage of our patio garden for dining alfresco. We recommend booking a table in advance to assist us with staffing accordingly to provide the best service we can.
