The main contributions are from very generous legacies from Mr & Mrs Harris of Maidenhead, specifically left for any future purchase of Trevose Head and a legacy from Mr Trevor Scholes left specifically for a coastal acquisition.
We will care for this headland in their memory.
We’ve launched a campaign to raise £250,000 to help towards the care and protection of this north Cornish headland.
It costs the National Trust £3,000 to look after 1 mile of coast a year.
At Trevose Head we will need to start work repairing gates, foots-paths and the car park to make sure this area is still open for all to enjoy.
As a conservation charity we already care for 152miles of Cornish coastline for wildlife and people and we couldn’t do this without generous donations, our members or volunteers.
