Booking Questions

How much is the Booking Deposit?

The Booking Deposit is £70.00 per week, per accommodation/pitch type. This is required at the time of booking.

Can I pay my final balance online?

If you have made your booking online, you can log on, and follow the options. If you have made your original booking over the phone, or face to face in Reception, you can make any payments over the phone with a member of Park Staff. Please have your Booking Number at the ready, when contacting us!

Do you accept dogs/pets?

Sorry, we do not take any pets on the park, or in our accommodation. We do accept registered working guide dogs, under prior arrangement. Please bring all registration papers to be seen on arrival.

Why can't I get through to speak to someone on the phone numbers provided?

We can have very busy moments in the booking office and cannot always answer every call that comes through. If you cannot get through to us, please leave a message and a contact number and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We check the answer phone on a regular basis, so we will be in contact soon.

Can I add additional people to my booking, at a later date?

Yes you can. However, if you are on a special offer and you add extra people to your booking, the cost of your holiday will revert to the original brochure price. If you change the party number, within 8 weeks prior to arrival, the full difference in cost is required at the time of change.

Can I check-in after 5pm, when reception might be closed? If so where do I go?

Yes you can. When reception is closed, our security team are on duty at the gatehouse. Head to the gatehouse on arrival and you can check-in with them. Security are on duty until the early hours. No camping check-ins after 9pm.

What are your policies on smoking on the park?

St Ives Bay has non smoking accommodation. According to all smoking legislation and laws, smoking is illegal in all public spaces. This includes all accommodation that St Ives Bay provides. If you are on a camping pitch, we ask that you respect your neighbors and camping environment. We respectfully ask all smokers to dispose of all cigarette ends after use. PLEASE NOTE, if any accommodation has evidence that smoking has taken place inside, a cleaning charge will be issued.

Can I book a short break online?

The website can only accept week long stays, however, if you contacted the park on 0800 317713, we can look to offer short breaks, subject to availability.

Does my booking deposit get refunded when my holiday is over?

No, the booking deposit is the 1st required payment, at the time of booking. This amount is deducted from the total charge, thus giving a remaining balance to be paid.

Can i make a Provisional Booking?

Yes, but only via phone, on 0800 317713. You cannot make any provisional bookings through the website. Provisional Bookings can only be held for 7 days. Please contact us direct to discuss options and availability.

Touring & Camping

Do you refreeze ice blocks anywhere on the park?

The Park Shop hire out their own Ice Blocks, with a small deposit fee (refundable) and a charge per refreeze.

Is there anywhere on the park, where we can charge our electrical items?

You are welcome to charge your mobile phone, laptop, tablets, ebooks, or rechargeable batteries in Reception. There is a £1.00 per item charge, but the item can be left with Reception staff in a secure room for the day.

What does EHU mean?

EHU stands for ‘Electrical Hook-Up’ pitch.

I know that the 1st car is included in the pitch price, how much would it be for an extra car?

The 1st car staying on the pitch is included in the pitch price, however any additional/extra cars is an extra charge of £3.00 per night. If you cannot park the extra car on your pitch, you will need to park at the beach car park, at owners risk.

Do you have an Early Arrivals field?

We do have a holding field, which will be open to those travelling through the night of Friday, arriving in the early hours of Saturday morning. PLEASE NOTE you cannot set up in this field. We will refuse all Saturday arrivals during Friday evening. On Saturday, when we open the park, and sufficient people have left the park, we will start checking-in those who are on the holding field first.

Can I choose a pitch close to the beach?

We have many camping fields, dotted all over the park. Some camping areas are closer to the beach than others. We operate a first come, first served pitch allocation, which means, that you choose your pitch on arrival. We cannot guarantee any sea views, or pitches closer to the beach, as you choose your pitch from what is available on the day.

I have a Camping Pod booked, do I still have access to the facilities on the park?

Yes you do, you have the same access to services and facilities including entertainment, as those who are staying elsewhere on the park.

Can you fit a travel cot in the Pods?

No, unfortunately, there isn’t any space for cots to placed in the Pods.

Houses, chalets and caravans

Do you sell your caravans privately, on a seasonal basis? If so, how much are your site fees?

All of the park accommodation is owned by the Company. Sorry, we do not have any seasonal pitches either.

My family and I are staying with you this summer, and what to bring our kayaks with us, is there anywhere on the park, where we can safely store them?

Extra parking space is limited on the park, where to park or store your trailers etc. Parking and storing options become restricted during our peak weeks, as the park is busy. If we are busy for you holiday dates, we may refuse any additional trailors on the park. Please contact us to discuss options.

When booking a caravan with decking, does it come with any outside seating?

Caravans with decking, have a picnic bench provided along with a corner seat. This is included in the decking charges.

Is there an oven and hob in all caravans?

All Chalets, Caravans and Houses come fully equipped with oven and hobs. They may be gas or electric oven and hobs.

Do you provide a DVD Player in the chalets, caravans and houses?

Unfortunately we do not provide DVD Players in the accommodation. However, there is a scart socket, should you wish to bring your own. Don’t forget the scart lead, as we do not provide them.

Can we bring deck chairs and tables to sit outside with?

You are welcome to bring your own deck chairs and tables. Most accommodation has a green communal area outside, for you to sit. Property left outside is at owners personal risk.

Do you allow BBQ's?

Yes we do. All we ask is that your BBQ is raised off the ground, so not to damage the ground beneath. Most disposable BBQs come with stands. Please do not use BBQs on caravans with decking! Its a Fire Risk.

Do you provide a television in the accommodation?

Yes, all of our accommodation has a Freeview TV provided.

Can my Travel Cot fit in the Chalet bedrooms?

No, unfortunately, the bedrooms are too small to fit the cot and the beds in together. We cannot remove beds from accommodation.

Park Facilities

Do you provide irons and ironing boards?

We do not provide irons and ironing boards in any accommodation, however, they are free to use in the on site Laundrette.

Do you have WiFi? if so, where? is it free?

Free WiFi is available to use in the Conservatory, that can be found next to the Indoor Swimming Pool, at the beach end of the park. There is no password, just log on and ‘Surf the net’!

Do you allow fire pits, on the park?

I’m afraid we do not allow fire pits on the park.

Do you allow beach fires?

We do not own the beach, you will need to contact Cornwall Council, to find out rules of the beach. For fire safety reasons, always check with the land owner, if it is safe to do so.

Your stay

We hope that you will enjoy your stay with us at St Ives Bay Holiday Park. If you have any problems, issues to raise or wish to make a complaint, please come to Reception, where a member of the team can help you. If we do not know if something is wrong with your stay, we cannot act accordingly, to correct any faults and rectify any issues. Please come to Reception as soon as a problem arises. We welcome any feedback, to pass onto the management team, so that we can work to make your stay more enjoyable.

We aim to provide a safe, secure, clean and happy holiday environment. Please help us to keep it this way. Pick up your litter as you go, keep all belongings locked away and secure your accommodation, especially when you head off the park for the day. There is a member of the team on the park 24/7, either at Reception or at the Gatehouse, with our Security Team, should you have any problems during your stay.

How much is it hire Towels?

We have a limited supply of towels, so please remember to pack them, to avoid disappointment on the day! We can hire out Towels at a £10.00 deposit (refundable) and charge. 4 berth pack is £5.00 and 6 berth pack is £7.00. You can hire towels in Reception on arrival.

Do you provide Hair Dryers?

We do not provide Hair dryers in each accommodation, however, they are provided as permanent fixture in our Toilet and Shower blocks, free to use.

Can we hire a microwave?

No, we do not hire out microwaves in any accommodation or pitch. We provide microwaves in most accommodation, which is included in the cost of the holiday, please check the accommodation extras when booking.

Is my bedding and linen, provided free of charge?

Many of our accommodation has bedding and linen provided, as well as pillows and duvets, and is included in the cost of your holiday. However, our basic chalets and caravans are provided with pillows and blankets only. You will need to bring your bedding and linen with you. If you have booked a Camping Pod, you will need to bring all bedding (including pillows and duvets), linen and/or sleeping bags with you.

I have a basic accommodation booked, can i hire linen with you on arrival?

You can hire bed linen out with us in Reception, which consists of pillowcases, an over sheet and under sheet. You cannot hire duvets. Sheet Hire is a £10.00 deposit (refundable) and £4.00 charge per bed.

Arriving and departing

Do we need to bring any ID and Booking Confirmation letter/email with us?

Yes, although we do not ask for identification to check-in with, we may ask for identification to be shown for security reasons. Please bring all Booking Confirmation upon check-in.

Can we add additional people to our booking during our stay?

Please inform Reception staff of any changes to your party, for health and safety reason, we require all names and children’s ages on the booking. If there are any additional names to be added during your stay, we will need to add them on the day of their arrival. PLEASE NOTE, extra persons to the booking, may incur extra charges to your booking.

Can we check-in any earlier than the guaranteed 4pm Check-In time?

The guaranteed check-in time is a time given for us to release the keys by. If the keys are available earlier on the day, we will endeavor to check you in as soon as possible, thus starting your holiday early. HOWEVER, this is not something that we cannot promise, as some weekends are busier than others. Please always assume that Check -In time will be 4pm.

During our peak weeks and main season, Check-in will be strictly 4pm.

Can we check-out later than 9am?

Check-out time is 9am, we do not have a late check-out facility, where you can pay to stay in the accommodation for a longer period of time. You are welcome to use the park facilities for the duration of the day, until such time you are ready to leave, BUT all keys are due back at Reception for 9am. We will make a charge of £25.00 an hour after 10am, for any late departures after that time.

Local Area

Can we get our online shopping delivery to the our accommodation?

Yes, you are welcome to organize deliveries to the park, please ensure that the supermarket has your contact number, so that they can call you to make the delivery on the day of arrival. Should the driver need directions, quote your accommodation number and send him/her to Reception for directions.

Is there a bus stop nearby?

Yes, there is a bus stop, about 200 yrds down the road, opposite the housing estate. Bus timetables can be issued from Reception. The number 14 and 18 bus routes takes you through Hayle, onto St Ives and finally in Penzance.

How far away is St Ives?

St Ives is about 20 minutes drive from the park. Parking isn’t brilliant in St Ives, especially during the main summer season, so the Park and Ride Train is a must do from St Erth train station. Details and timetables can be provided in Reception.

Is St Ives Bay actually on the Beach?

Unfortunately not. The park is built amongst the sand dunes, on the north Cornish Coast. We have our own access through the dunes onto the beach itself. So no need leave the park! Beach access routes are very steep. We advise not to take pushchairs or wheelchairs down, as you wont be able to get back up!

Is St Ives Bay central to attractions in Cornwall?

Being set at the foot of the A30, we are a very short time away from local attractions. 30 -40 minutes from Truro, 20 – 30 minutes to Penzance, and 15 – 20 minutes from St Ives. We have many leaflets and local knowledge with the Reception team, please come in and ask, and we will try to help the best we can.

2 Adults and 2 Children age 9 or under.

Babies of 18 months or under (max 2) do not count as a person. Where there is only one adult you can add an extra child. These offers are available mainly outside of the school holidays and are always availabale through our accommodation search.


Offers do not apply in conjunction any other offers. Normal booking conditions also apply. Extras such as cots highchairs and decks will be charged in the booking process.

Our prices include: all card and admin charges, linen in most units, use of indoor pool, beach access and car park, 24HR security, club entry, entertainment (when provided), TV electricity gas in our units, WIFI (not in unit). Please note other parks may charge ON ARRIVAL for some or all of these items! Availability Limited. Please check dates of which facilities are open on your holiday dates.
